Oh wow, I'm going to sleep, but just a quick update. I am living in Korea now, I got a job teaching for a private school, and so far it has been awesome! I'll tell you all more soon, but for now, I must sleep. G'night.

Short Film, made with a Friend...

Okay, I am just posting this because I have been working on a short film project with a friend for the past 3 months, and we just wrapped a week ago, and we held a Premiere for it yesterday. I am gonna share the trailer for it, but it has WAY more to it now that it is finished. Here it is, Enjoy!

Okay, this has more than an update on the film...I saw it 6 times by X-Mas, and it was still A-FREAKING-MAZING! Anywho, I just wanted to post that I will be leaving for Korea in about a month. I will still be on here, but I don't know if/how I will upload anything on here for the next year...(I know I upload things on here pretty seldom anyway, but I am gonna try to get better about it. Promise.) I may try to upload a few things before I leave, so be on the lookout for some new stuff! Anyway, I will keep updating as more news comes up. Cheers!

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug!

Ok, I have seen this movie so far, four times, in 3D no less, and I LOVE it! Here's is my initial response to all of the people who gave it practically scathing reviews...This was written basically the day it officially opened.
The Hobbit:The Desolation of Smaug...I am not sure what the problem is coming from those of whom have claimed that this film didn't live up to its expectations, it is a truly fantastic movie! Truthfully, there were a few things that I, at first, did not like too much, but after having seen it four times, I do not mind them at all. One of them being Tauriel (it will seem like I am giving her character a hard time, but just keep reading), I do honestly think that the decision to add her was a good one, however, I kind-of disliked the implied love-triangle that seemed to be heavily focused upon. Other than that, I very much enjoyed her appearance, as well as her ass-kickery. One other thing that kind-of bothered me was the lack of subtitles for some bits of the film. I'm not sure about you all, but I don't speak Middle-Earthian languages. So, it would be nice to know what they are saying. I also got a tad annoyed when a few of Smaug's lines were changed, I would have really enjoyed it if they had been straight from the book. Lastly, the only other thing I had an issue with was a brief scene involving Smaug. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my Top 5 Greatest Movie Villains of All Time, and he does in fact look absolutely amazing. Kudos to Benedict for playing him so perfectly spot-on! The scene I am referring to (*MILD SPOILER*), is during the dwarves' confrontation with Smaug where the iron buckets on the wire that are above Smaug with Gloin and Bifur in them get cut by Gloin, and Smaug gets very tangled in them. All of the effects up to and after that point are amazing, but for that split second where he is flailing to free himself and he throws his head toward the camera, it looks like a high-grade video game. Seriously, beyond that and the few other things, I absolutely LOVE this movie! I also had another little nugget for you all to let your minds chew on. Books to movies are what...? ADAPTATIONS, NOT EXACT COPIES! So, Shuush! Did you make these films? No! Did you put a ridiculous amount of effort into making them? No! So, just be glad that an incredible story actually got to be told on the big screen, and stop complaining. Also, did it not occur to some of you that what is missing might be in the Extended Edition? (Just a little food for thought.) Yea, we'll have to wait, but if you are the diehard fans you say you are, you won't mind a little more waiting. I am now going to slowly wither until the Extended Edition is released, though. Already can't wait for it! If you are looking for a fantastic movie to see this holiday, look no farther, you have found it! When you go to see it, just enjoy it for the sake of enjoying the movie, don't think too much about the fine print (or lack thereof). It is a good movie so, go in and just have a good time at the movies with it!
